Click here to view Ron's Memorial Tribute Video. Ronald LeRoy "Ron"  Kaiser age 87 of Normal IL passed away at 11:30 P.M. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at  Heritage Health Care, Normal IL. His memorial service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL with military rites accorded by the Bloomington -Normal American Legion Honor Guard. Rev. Vaughn Hoffman will be officiating.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM-7:00 PM Monday, January 8, 2018 at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Private inurnment will be Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb, IL at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Ron was born May 18, 1930 in DeKalb, IL the son of Glenn and Mildred Lawrence Kaiser                                                           

 

Ron married Arlene  Loraas on February 3, 1953 in Green Cove Springs, Florida.

She passed away December 21, 2010.    

 

Surviving are his 4 children, Connie Bass, Normal, IL, Karl Kaiser, Normal IL, Jean Kaiser, Normal, IL, John (Veronica ) Kaiser, Stanford, IL, 6 grandchildren, Ron (Laura) Bass, David Kaiser, Jason (Stacey) Kaiser, Jeff (Brandi) Kaiser, Kasey Kaiser, Lynnsay Knell, 6 great-grandchildren, Noah, Kaylee, Joshua, Landon, Campbell and Karsyn.

 

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sons, Martin, David, Richard and Ronald Kaiser, 3 sisters and1 infant brother.

 

Ron served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict 1952-1954.

Ron was a Police Officer for the City of Bloomington for 20 years from 1961-1981 and later he was a Guard for Loomis for 34 years  from 1962-1996. He was a member of the Bloomington American Legion and Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington, IL. Ron was a loving father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.
